The average price of electricity for residential consumers in the United States could reach $0.1524/kWh in 2023, the U.S. Energy Information Administration forecasted in its latest Short Term Energy Outlook.

That would represent about a 3.3% increase this year. The EIA says prices are already

7.5% higher today than they were in 2021.
